Primeira pergunta: Considering the number of bugs in every update, are you going to do a quick tutor test to find the blatent ones before unleashing it onto the servers?
Yes they are preview servers and they get double xp/skills but really big bugs could cause very major problems to the community.
Also if a reset has to be done back to the start of the PVP preview then you will have screams of lost premmy time especially if it happens on a weekend and we have to wait till Monday for the reset.
Craban: I am quite confident that there won't be bigger bugs. Our test team has already spent a week each on the testing and they will spend about the same amount before we release this, so there is some very serious testing being done on our side.
Second question: Thanks, I am enjoying the coffee but that begs the questions
1. Very serious testing didn't happen with all the other updates?
2. Already Alecto is coming up with ways that various groups can abuse changes, so have you tested all that he's already identified?
Craban: Seriously, you are displaying a level of mistrust that crosses the point where it makes sense for me to reply further. Bugs happen in a complex system. Serious testing helps, but never guarantees anything, but in the past years, the most serious bugs were rarely found by the players but most of the times in internal testing.[/b]
Craban sobre o Preview no geral:
Generally speaking, we do not plan on doing resets ever. Obviously, what we want is that thing to run smoothly and without problems, so we don't plan for problems, but we count them in. So your examples:
> A minor bug is identified - no reset?
Yes
> Major bug - reset?
Yes
> Game weakness identified - no reset?
That depends on how bad the effects of it are. If something like this gets out of hand badly, then we might also reset for that. After all, a bad weakness in the design is just as much our mistake as a major bug.
Craban sobre TS: @*****: A public test would not help us at all in this case. That is the whole point of a preview. What we need is not players who test things, do things that they would normally not do on real servers. The problem with test servers is exactly that it does not matter what people do. That distorts what really happens on real servers. That is why we really need this to run on servers where everything you do does matter. The best thing that could happen is that people continue playing exactly as they would without the preview and from that find out what the new system really changes. That can only work if there is the usual risk of skulls, punishments, items etc. That was the deal with preview servers right from the beginning. What you quoted here from Tanny is therefore not a concern, it is the goal!

Daí você tira ^^
Fico imaginando como os testers são incríveis!
