    Dear Testers,

    welcome to this winters's test server! It will start on Thursday, 3rd of November. Access is given to all tutors, senators, a list of invited fansite admins, as well as the Flash Client closed beta testers and the members of the PvP Focus Group. In addition we have selected a larger group amongst our long-time players to join the private beta test. The data for the test servers has been taken on Monday, 26th of October at around 10:00 CEST, so please use your password from this day to log in.

    The major themes of this update are the new epic questline "Forgotten Knowledge" about ancient, forgotten secrets and several tough boss fights, the new imbuing system and the new prey system.

    It is very important that you test as much and as thoroughly as you can. Please read the following instructions on how to join the test server and the testing agenda carefully. Report all bugs you find with Ctrl + Z in the stand-alone client. In the Flash client you can assign any hotkey to report bugs in-game. Typical bugs include:

    • Graphical errors (e.g. broken graphics, blue pixels, wrong automap colors)
    • Map errors (e.g. broken ground textures, broken wall parts)
    • Feature errors (e.g. spell doesn't work like it is supposed to)
    • Object errors (e.g. a takeable tree, walkable stone)
    • NPC errors (e.g. something is bought for more money than it is sold)
    • Text errors (e.g. typos, misspellings, non-suitable name for an object)
    • Quest/world change errors (e.g. dead ends in world changes)


    In cases your client crashes ("Tibia Error - Debug Assertion" ) please click "Send" in the "Error Report" dialog which appears when you start the client the next time after the crash happened. If possible please enter a comment in the appropriate field before clicking "Send". Any hint on what you did right before the crash will greatly help in fixing the reason for the crash.
    Of course the Flash client is also available via the test website during this test. If your Flash client crashes, please make a note of the error message and send it within a bugreport.

    We will create several threads which you can use to read the latest information about known and fixed bugs, give your feedback about the new features and post if you have problems with the client. Please note that you can't create new threads by yourselves to avoid spam. However, we will supply a few threads for questions, discussions etc.

    There are Test Server Assistants in each town. They will hand out gold and experience and also sell astral sources required for the imbuing of items. You can also buy the "test voodoo doll" to reset the cooldowns of all boss fights.

    The Tibia 11 Client for the beta test will appear in your regular launcher. In your launcher click on Manage Clients in the left side menu and select the test client.

    In case you already have an installation of an old Tibia test server client from one of the last test servers, it is recommended to uninstall it before installing the new Tibia test server client.

    The Windows installation script is pretty much self-explanatory, simply download it, run it and follow the on-screen instructions. Afterwards you should have an icon called "Tibia Testserver" on your desktop. Double-click that and log in.

    After Variphor is entering the world, there is a kind of general mobilization. The gods are collecting their power and prepare their followers. So they reveal their ancient, forgotten secrets through their priests. The ability to enchant items is a part of this secret.

    To understand the creation of those mighty imbuing shrines would take generations. The priests use old, forgotten places of the ancient culture of "Astral Shapers", which fought in the "god wars". The "Astral Shapers" did not extinct completely, but got degenerated because of the wars in the past. The smartest and most capable of them connected themselves through mighty imbuings, but their knowledge got lost.

    The remaining people of the "shaper" culture are cannibalistic monstrosities, which went back to the ruins of their fathers and guard them jealously. Nevertheless, they are still able to maintain and use some of these legacy sites.

    The priest of the gods are showing you, dear Tester, the way to some of those sites. These are scattered all over Tibia.

    Some of these places appear like old, classic dungeons. New courses are going to appear, which lead you the way to the lost sites. Not only
    descendants of the "shapers" live there, even those monstrosities which once overrun the shapers: the orclops.

    Testers, help building up the temple of the gods, which you are going to need to find your way to the abandon imbuing shrines, which still have the ability to unlock the powerful imbuing shrines located in temples and cities. On your way have a look at acessibility, map bugs and anything that attracts negative attention. Also please test all of the new bosses thoroughly.

    • Imbuements allow you to add certain temporary effects to your equipment.
    • Depending on the item you want to imbue, different imbuements are available to augment your equipment: elemental damage, elemental protection, skill boosts (including speed), critical hit, hit points leech, and mana leech.
    • Imbuements vary not only in effect but also in power:
      • Basic imbuements can be carried out by free and Premium accounts. They are available once you are able to use imbuing shrines.
      • Intricate imbuements are more effective than basic ones and can only be carried out if you have Premium status. They are available as soon as you can use imbuing shrines.

    • You need certain astral sources, commonly known as creature products, to imbue an item. Which astral sources and how many of them are needed depends on the imbuement you want to carry out. Moreover, a gold fee needs to be paid whenever you imbue an item.
    • Imbuing an item may not always succeed. For a certain amount of gold, though, you can raise your success rate to 100%.
    • Once an item has been imbued successfully, the imbuement effect lasts for a certain amount of time. Time will only decrease when the imbued item is equipped.
    • You can remove an active imbuement from a slot for 15,000 gold so that it can hold another imbuement.
    • As long as a certain imbuement effect is still active (=still has time remaining) on a particular item, you can neither imbue this item with the same imbuement (e.g. fire protection + 15%) again nor can you carry out an imbuement on this very item that grants the same type of effect (e.g. fire protection + 9%). In general, imbuing will not allow you to generate complete immunities or excessive amounts of damage.
    • Imbuable items can have up to three imbuement slots. They can only be imbued at imbuing shrines which can be found in the temples of all major cities and in certain places outside of cities.
    • If you use an imbuing shrine with such an item, the imbuing interface will pop up. There, you can see the number of imbuement slots of the item in question and details about each imbuement that is available for it.
    • You can also use imbuing shrines to check the remaining time of active imbuements and to remove an active imbuement from a slot for a certain amount of gold.
    • For a quick check of available imbuement slots and active imbuements, you can simply look at an item.

    This winter update comes with the new prey system. You'll have a choice of monsters from which you can select one that you would like to focus on during your hunts. For a set period of hunting time a bonus reward will be active for every monster you kill.

    If you are not satisfied with the offered bonus, you can ask for a new bonus, and with some luck, the new bonus will be even better than the old one. You can also ask for a new selection of monsters to choose from if you decide that you would rather hunt something else instead.

    You can have up to three active preys, meaning three different monsters, each with its own bonus. The time will start counting when you start hunting, and it will pause as well when you pause your hunt.

    Open the prey dialog by right-clickinig your character. The Flash Client and Tibia 11 Client also offer a UI element to open it.

    Some more facts:
    • In order to use the prey system you have to reach main.
    • You get a free monster list reroll every 20 hours for each prey slot.
    • A prey will be active for 2 hours hunting time.
    • Each monster list will offer a random choice of 9 monsters, covering different difficulty levels.
    • There will not be any bosses or event monsters in such monster lists, and neither will there be any monsters listed that do not yield any experience points.
    • The bonus for a monster is selected randomly and can either be damage boost, damage reduction, bonus XP, or improved loot.
    • You can ask for a new monster list for an already active prey. If you do so, the bonus will remain the same, however, you can choose a new monster from the new monster list that you will be offered.
    • You can buy extra list rerolls with gold coins if needed. The price for such a reroll depends on your level.
    • You can unlock prey slots with Tibia Coins.

    Bom, pelo visto o test server acabou, ativaram o pvp e marcaram as invasões. Enfim, pouquíssimo tempo de testes, poucas adaptações significativas, Knightmare defecando na quests principal (assim como fez nas últimas).

    Tive esperanças que esse update seria diferente — sempre cometo esse engano —, afinal agora temos um cliente novo, com menos limitações que o Tibia 10, porém não foi bem o que aconteceu. As ideias do Prey e Imbuing são interessantes, entretanto precisavam trabalhar mais em cima dos dois temas, tive a impressão que mais um vez fizeram tudo em cima da hora, sem muito planejamento.

    O imbuing perdeu completamente a função principal (dar utilidade para itens esquecidos). Pensava que cada item teria um tipo de imbuimento e intensidade dos atributos diferentes, porém fizeram algo muito genérico, onde uma wyvern fang pode receber o mesmo "encantamento" que um Demonwing. Exemplificando o que eu queria nesse sistema: itens com atributos diferentes, por exemplo, um vampire shield teria life leech, enquanto um Tempest Shield teria proteção contra energy, assim o jogador escolheria o melhor item para cada situação. No final, cada jogador vai continuar usando apenas os mesmos itens (os mais fortes), enquanto os itens "esquecidos" continuarão servindo para vender no npc ou usar por poucos níveis até conseguir algo melhor.

    O sistema de Prey era para ser interessante, o jogador poderia escolher de 1 até 3 criaturas e ter vantagens caçando elas, porém deixaram totalmente aleatório, podendo cair rats, bugs e spiders para um lvl 1.000. Caso alguém queira procurar alguma criatura especifica, para isso terá que torrar fortunas até ela aparecer na lista (ou ter muita sorte), além disso é necessário gastar coins para trocar o tipo de bônus e melhorar a porcentagem (isso se não tiver sorte). Considerando que nerfaram o sistema, não vejo mais tanta vantagem e torrar dezenas de crystal coins com isso.

    A nova quest é exatamente o que vimos nos últimos dois updates, como já esperado, mais uma vez é necessário montar time de até 5 jogadores para os mine-bosses, então depois de matar todos eles, conseguir até 15 jogadores para enfrentar o boss final. Já ficou chato né? Parece que acabou as ideias para quests. Outro detalhe é a luta contra eles, bem repetitiva e demorada, que por sinal complicaram ainda mais, agora vai precisar de um time bem mais forte para conseguir.



    Não escrevi tudo isso só aqui, tbm dei feedback no ts, mas acho que não adiantou muito
