Nickelback
A banda vem do Canadá, de uma cidadezinha chamada Hanna, Alberta (no oeste do país). Foi formada na década de 90 e iniciou a carreira em Vancouver. Chad Kroeger (vocalista) convidou o seu irmão Mike (contra-baixista), e um antigo amigo, Ryan Peake (guitarrista), para formarem um grupo. Peake os apresentou a Ryan Vikedal (baterista), que ficou na banda até 2005 quando entrou Daniel Adair - o novo batera.
O nome da banda vem do nickel (moeda) que Mike Kroeger frequentemente tinha de devolver no seu trabalho numa cafeteria.("here's your nickel,back!").

- A canção "How You Remind Me" ganhou o prêmio de música mais executada do ano em 2002.
- A música "Side of a Bullet" foi composta em homenagem ao falecido guitarrista do “Pantera”, Dimmebag Darrell Abbott, e conta com um dos últimos solos criados pelo mesmo, doado ao Nickelback por seu irmão e companheiro de banda, Vinnie Paul.
