Sometimes, when I am mana-sitting I walk around the big cities of Tibia, looking in some houses, as I personally like to see a nice decorated house. It then bothers me so much when I see some really bad houses. I think I am not the only one, so therefor I decided to write an article about how to decorate your house. I will give a few hints, that might be handy for some of you.

Colour
Colour in your house is really important. Be sure all the colours in your house match together. Also be sure you don't use the same colour for your whole house.

Matching
Don't just throw stuff together. This will make your house look messy and unorganised. It will also cause a bad look in your house. Be sure the items you mix together match eachother for good looks.

Clean the mess!
Don't just throw random stuff on the floor. The floor is to walk on; if the whole floor in your house is filled with items, it will look messy and really unorganised. For sure you can use some squares of the floor for items/decoration, but don't fill the whole floor of your house.

Order
Functionality is also quite important. A floor is made to walk on, boxes are made to put items on, and stuff like that. Be sure you try different sort of stuff to see what looks best.

Ugly items
A few items are 'forbidden', such as throwing stars, mind stones. Those items are really ugly, tough I see them a lot in the houses. Remove those items from your house!

Taste
Combine colour, shape and size of items for good looks of your house. Don't make your house a showoff for items, but use some decorating items, such as gems, blood herbs, talons and some wands, as everyone can put a few high value items in his/her house.

Reason
You can even forget about nice-looking item combinations. It's well overdone already and everybody is doing it. Examine you character, and think on the life it carries. If you are a runemaker druid maybe you can imagine the house of a druid with several flasks, pots with mysterious liquids, a handful of books and even papers spreaded over the floor. If you are a brave warrior decorate your rooms with heavy armors and nasty weapons, but maybe if you are aswell hunting all the day long be fair add some garbage here and there

Garbage that decors
Do not understimate the power of garbage; quite often some troll or orc garbage can do miracles in creating that environment your house is missing!



This house could be the one of a mage; stacked with books and magical items of all sort and a bit dirty since he worries not much for cleaning!



The house of a knight, or maybe a strong paladin? His empty bedroom shows the owner is not a man that spends time at home; the corpse of the dragon and the meat-harvest "facility" shows the owner is a man that likes to hunt and collect his own resources!
