Zomboid 0.1.5c Released!
We’re still working toward getting a stable build, so to make sure we don’t make it worse, we’ve done it as a separate filename, so the old link will still work if you want to backtrack for whatever reason.
Changes:
Optimizations - Hopefully a ton less lag.
Less rain.
Various bug fixes.
NPC tweaks – Less chance of hostile NPCS. A bit more varied behaviour. Still needs work but we’ll keep adding to it.
Multi-stage barricades
Increased sound muffle effect of being in/out buildings or different rooms
Slowed down horde movement.
teehee I love my spiked baseball bat, SQUISH, SQUSH, hehehe SQUISH, SNAP oh…
Desura people can download this and use their key from Desura. We’ll update the Desura autoupdate copy as soon as we’re satisfied this build is solid.

* Infinisleep SHOULD FINALLY BE FIXED AND IF ITS NOT WE'LL CRY (FIXED)
* Hypochondria and uncooked food no longer cause damage and pain, just illness. We'll make the effects more pronounced later, but as it stood it was game breaking.
* Character creation button clicking fixed.
Desculpe-me pelo double post, mas isso é importante:
Próximo update finalmente vai ter SAVE! \O/
Save on Quit / Multi Map Section Game World Sneak Peek!
There’s still a fair bit of work to do on it yet, but we thought you all might like to take a look at this:
Note this is WIP code, we’ll work on lowering the load times and the lag is caused by the video capturing software.
The second map used is not an official map but was in fact community map Muldraugh General Hospital by mendonca that we used as a test, simply by cutting a path in the top of the official map and the bottom of the hospital map, then specifying some simple script to connect the tiles on the path to each map. The maps are saved on exit, so the state of the map is currently static until you return there.
It’s still unclear whether another official map section will be in the next update, or whether it’ll be the one after, but it will be pretty soon. Either way, the next update will have SAVE ON QUIT. The game saves every two seconds, and on quit. Each story and sandbox will all have their own save. It will save immediately prior to your death and will save no longer, so reloading after that point will just show the moment of your death.
Not only this, but it’s rather easy for modders to link up exit points from one map to another, so not long after this update is released expect to see modders making big game worlds built from all the community maps made so far connected together!
Hopefully long before we can have a big official game world ourselves, you’ll be able to play in massive modded game worlds with numerous quests and storylines in them.
We’ll be sure to link them here when they begin to appear.
Please note this update is very much in development and may be a few days, may be a week and a half or more, since with saving there is likely to be a whole gang of bugs lurking that need to be resolved. It's a biggy but will be well worth it and will not be a 2 month hell hole like 0.1.5a
We'll add to this when there are other confirmed features of the update:
Save on Quit
Multiple map-section support.
Completely blank maps possible in sandbox. (No tutorial house hang-ups)
Various mapping fixes.
Maps can be overridden by mods. Any maps in the mods scripts will override the officials ones first, then any maps in the mods stories directory
A bite will only infect 96% of the time. Pretty much always, in practice, but just to give you that bit of doubt when you've been bitten (or ultimately if NPCs are bitten)
