For all those asking for estimates as to when the paid version will be released. As I've said it all depends when other companies come through and we've been told in the next day or two. if I'm any more specific than that all it does is lead to disappointment when that estimate goes by and the update is not released. Assume next week. I like to think it'll be much before that but it's totally out of our hands right now.

E o Project Zomboid aparentemente vai sair pra Steam e pra Desura:

I should clarify on this since it's now out there. It's not quite as exciting as 'being on Steam', at least not yet, but Valve have done us a massive favour in allowing Project Zomboid to use their servers and auto-updating and whatnot. We won't appear on the store and Steam accounts will only be via redeem codes, so purchases will still be through our site. It's possible we'll pop up on the Store at some point in the future when the game has more content and is more complete, but none of that is for sure at the moment.
Being huge Steam fans ourselves we'd gladly use Steam exclusively, but the fact of the matter is the game is also on Linux, and as such we still need to maintain our own version so Linux users are not left out.
Anyone who has already purchased, or who purchases in the future, will have the option of a Steam key for the game.

We have to delete the account I'm afraid (or rather disable it, we'll keep it on record), for the sole reason that if we do not, we're effectively potentially giving away 15,000 extra free copies of Project Zomboid.
And yes, if you want it on Steam it won't cost us. All purchasing is through us at this time.
That said, Desura, which is also coming soon, will allow for purchasing through Cred Card or PayPal. We'll be in abundance of options then.

So it's time for the upcoming patch notes to start filling out. We'll add to this as we go. Still waiting on news on stuff before we can consider release, but to give people more info on the patch details, see below:
1) Craftable doors. Smashed doors have a chance of dropping hinges and door knobs.
2) Open doors now block vision/collide at their new angle.
3) Professions and traits - initial character customization.
4) Cooking food. Fully functional ovens.
5) Food now goes bad. Refrigerators slow down the process. Eat consumables first!
6) Chance of illness if eating spoilt or uncooked food.
7) Bored and depressed moodles. Read books or magazines or go for a stroll outside to relieve boredom (more later). Eating cooked meals also reduces boredom / depression.
8) Curtains. Block view into building without needing barricades. Sheets can be used to make makeshift curtains.
9) Various bug/crash fixes. Notably no more fire crashes.
10) Burglar alarm on a couple of random buildings on the map.
11) Barricading and crafting etc now takes time to complete. Alterable by different traits.
12) A few more foods and cooking apparatus / crafting recipes.

Espero que saia logo isso, não consigo mais esperar @_@
