Q. What is this "Classic Mode" thing?
A. A fair number of people liked how version 1.0.6 worked, so using classic mode works like 1.0.6 did. In classic mode, a Tibia client is NOT started for you, and the client is opened by merely starting Tibia like you normally would. Please note that classic mode is not compatible with Windows XP.

Q. What operating systems does Tibia Proxy support?
A. As of 1.0.7, this program supports Windows 98, 98SE, 2000, and XP. Windows 95 and ME are probably supported as well, but it has not been fully tested on these two systems.

Q. Is this program a trojan/keylogger/something to steal my account?
A. To put it simply, NO IT ISN'T. However, if you feel paranoid, you can always virus scan it.

Q. How exactly does this program work?
A. This program stands between the Tibia client and the Tibia servers, allowing it to control the data flow (i.e. not allow the 'Too many players online' message to return to you), which opens up many possibilities for future additions.

Q. Why am I still worried it will steal my account?
A. With the ever increasing number of accounts being hacked/stolen, you have a right to be paranoid.

Q. Does it log me in as quickly as being a premium player can log in?
A. No, this program merely hammers the game world for you, thereby making the use of auto-account-number-and-password entering macros (that can be accidentally triggered while in the game) obsolete. It's main speed advantage is that you don't have to wait for you character list to load more than once.

Q. What versions of Tibia does it support?
A. It supports versions 7.24-7.27, and probably newer versions as well.

Q. Does use of this program violate the Tibia rules?
A. To put it bluntly, yes. However, it is my belief that the clause in the Tibia rules which disallows this sort of program was to make cheating tools, which use this method, illegal to use. Since this program isn't a cheating tool, it sort of falls into the grey-area.

Q. Umm...isn't making it easier for free players to get in cheating?
A. Not really, this program may slightly decrease the time spent by free players while trying to get in, but it will also decrease the load on the gateway server, making it easier for EVERYONE to get their character list more quickly.

Q. Does Tibia Proxy help me not be hacked?
A. Yes, Tibia Proxy prevents you from accidentally sending either your account number or password to someone. It blocks any outgoing data from Tibia that contains your account number and/or password (with the exception of logging in).

Q. Does Tibia Proxy support running multiple clients on the same computer?
A. Yes.

Q. Does Tibia Proxy work with TibiaGG running?
A. Yes.

Q. What is this 'Alternate Gateway' thing for?
