Gwendydd: Hello, hello...
Anderslash: Hi. o/
Tripida: Hi. Interview in couple?
Gwendydd: Anderslash is my "invited reporter" today! Shall we begin the interview? Hey Tripida... where did this name came from?
Anderslash: Yeah... Tripida, people is curious about the reason why you have chosen this name.
Tripida: I have a friend who has this nickname, because he used to "tremble" (note: a slang for "tremble" in portuguese is "trepidar", misspelled by the interviewed as "tripidar"). It was only a joke.
Gwendydd: What do you mean, "tremble"? <laughs>
Tripida: Shaked.
Gwendydd: Oh, I see <laughs>. Jokes with friends are such amazing.
Anderslash: This term, "tripidar", I guess it's not very common in other areas of Brazil, is it a regional term? Which state are you from?
Tripida: São Paulo, capital.
Gwendydd: Were you born there?
Tripida: Yes.
Anderslash: How old are you?
Tripida: 25.
Anderslash: Cool, it's hard to find someone over 20 years old playing Tibia! Through the forum we can see that the brazilian average is around 12 - 14 years old.
Tripida: Nah, most of my friends is over 20.
Gwendydd: But we can see even in game that several players are very younger... have you ever been called "uncle", Tripida? <laughs> (note: young people usually call older people "uncle" or "aunt" in Brazil - that means "tio" and "tia" in portuguese.)
Tripida: Ah dunno, It's hard. My friendship group is over 20 years old.
Anderslash: These friends you mentioned, are they guildmates?
Tripida: Yes and no.
Gwendydd: And do you have communication with other players who are not from your friendship group? I mean, often...
Tripida: Rarely.
Anderslash: But people bother you with messages, don't they?
Tripida: Not really.
Gwendydd: Such a tranquility!
Tripida: Ah, but there's several people who send me messages here. When I have time, depending on how the conversation begins, I answer. If not, I just ignore and keep doing my things.
Gwendydd: What kind of messages do you usually receive? Good, bad... "gratz"... <laughs>
Tripida: Most are good, "gratz", "gogo top", things like that. But there's so much more "itens plx" and so. And some people come to insult me.
Gwendydd: So I guess it's not that peaceful... <laughs>. But... talking about tranquility... you play in a non-PvP world... Why did you choose Astera?
Tripida: I started in a PvP world, didn't know how to play. Got tired of power abusing and came to a non-PvP because I played and didn't know anyone.
Anderslash: Do you regret on coming to a non-PvP world?
Tripida: No I don't, because there are advantages and disadvantages. Besides that, when you make a friend in a PvP world, it’s really your friend, not just for protection interests, fear, etc.
Gwendydd: What are the advantages?
Tripida: Here I can cast a mort hur, UE, burst, explo on the blocker. In a PvP world, it's not good.
Anderslash: Many people say that playing in a non-PvP world is the same as playing tibia on “easy mode”, because there’s no such difficulties... sometimes people despise it for this reason. What to you have to say about that?
Tripida: It's not like that, do you wanna see? There are about twice or three times more players than in PvP servers. Also there’s a lot more fight for respawn. In a PvP world things are more controlled, someone enters d-lair and leave a letter, nobody else enters. If you do that in Astera, the person enters your respawn, kills everything and then apologizes, that when he feels like collaborating. When he doesn't want to, he doesn't answer you or tell you he isn't leaving, that you should go screw yourself and keeps on bothering. It's like I said, it's two-folded: good and bad side.
Anderslash: Ah, is there too many morons who do that in Astera? Invading respawn and killing any creatures just to bother?
Tripida: People don’t do that with Tripida, but with knights and pallys, they usually annoy.
Gwendydd: It’s kind of funny people don’t do it with Tripida... Since it’s a non-PvP world, people have no reason to be afraid.
Tripida: It’s hard to do that, because I kill the creatures too fast. Just if the guy certainly wants to bother, but it's rare. But, there’s one thing: today you ruin my hunt, tomorrow I’ll ruin yours... there’s more respawn respect between the server’s HL . But we can deal with it, even with such things. ;D
Gwendydd: Mm, right.
Anderslash: Ah, sure! Talking about fast killing, what’s the average of your magic damage? SD, HMM and stuff? Tibian people want to know.
Tripida: I don’t use HMM and SD that much, I don’t know exactly. Mort hur 1620, this is exact; UE around 2.3k; HMM around 350; SD 1.3k; GFB, more than 400, but I don’t use it too much; Vis 445; Mort a bit less.
Anderslash: Such a monstrosity! <laughs>
Gwendydd: You’re nuts! Great it’s non-PvP! <laughs>
Anderslash: With such damage, what do you hunt for having some fun? You go, pow! Kill the warlock.
Tripida: I’m already tired of warlock. <laughs>
Gwendydd: Man, that’s too much... do you spend the whole time hunting?
Tripida: It's like, I don't get on the game to stand still, I get on the game to do something. I'm here with Shel to get started the hunt.
Gwendydd: Oh, ok... and what do you intend to hunt?
Tripida: DL
Anderslash: We noticed through your fotolog that you’ve been hunting DL very much, you last levels were all reached there. Don’t you get annoyed?
Tripida: Yes, I get tired ^^. I go with Theaso to vary. But DL is what provides me more experience.
Anderslash: Theaso?
Tripida: Knight, a friend of mine. We go Pharaos, inside PoI, do some insane things around.
Gwendydd: Do you enjoy doing quests as well? :)
Tripida: Depends on the quest. I don’t like quests that need too much players, takes a lot of time. People is too slow.
Gwendydd: Do you prefer being a lonely player, then?
Tripida: I prefer quests that need 5 players, at most. Not 40 like PoI.
Gwendydd: Mm, ok. Besides that, I noticed something... You spend a lot of time online!
Tripida: Not really... depends on the day.
Gwendydd: Like yesterday, you spent 10 hours online. It’s too much, huh?
Anderslash: According to Pskonejott, you spend until 10 or 12 hours online.
Tripida: Yes, but some other day must have been 3 or 4 hours.
Gwendydd: All right.
Tripida: Some days I stay around 12, but there are days that I need to work. Then, I stay less time. ^^
Anderslash: How is it, you go to job sporadically? <laughs>
Tripida: Yeah, I work with software development. Sometimes I have to attend a customer, and I can’t play <laughs>. But I always login and stay online at least 3 hours at night, dunno. When I don’t have a customer, then I make a party, 10 or 12 hour on.
Gwendydd: But you leave behind a lot of things, to play? Such go out, meet friends, you know...
Tripida: Yes, there’s no way to do everything and stay 12 hours on. I have to buy a new mobile phone since 1 year ago, and I didn’t because of laziness, and I stay home playing. <laughs>
Gwendydd: But do you still play Tibia for fun? Or it is an obligation?
Tripida: I guess it became an addiction since a long time. (note: HE GUESSES??)
Gwendydd: How long do you play?
Tripida: I play for 3 years I think, more or less.
Gwendydd: How did you start? Somebody has introduced you to the game...?
Tripida: I was in a customer's place, his son was playing still in Rook. He also didn’t know how to play and did show me more or less how it was. Cursed be that day. <laughs>
Anderslash: Then came the addiction?
Tripida: Not at all, I controlled myself. I used to play less.
Anderslash: Hey, do you have any message for this customer, or his son, if he reads? <laughs>
Tripida: Well, I think he doesn’t play anymore. <laughs>
Anderslash: Well, won’t you say "darn you son of the customer"? <laughs>
Tripida: No, it wasn’t his fault. ^^
Gwendydd: Well... in the end, the "son of the customer" has created a monster that does 132934098 damage using mort hur. I guess this is good, right? <laughs>
Tripida: Yeah, actually.
Gwendydd: Did you start playing as Tripida?
Tripida: No. I started in another server, a PvP one. I made a knight and then a druid to make UH. But I noticed that as a druid I could kill creatures easily, switched to druid, but stopped at level 32 because of powerabusing. Then I started as Tri.
Anderslash: You already told us. ^^ In which world you were power abused?
Tripida: Elysia.
Gwendydd: Is Dragao Marinho?
Tripida: Yes.
Gwendydd: Haha, bullseye! Tripida, you’re almost reaching Taifun Devilry...
Tripida: Here we go.
Gwendydd: Do you intend to reach Eternal Oblivion? Or maybe Mateusz?
Tripida: I intend to reach 300. I don’t mind about who is above me. If I pass them or not, I don’t care. My goal is to reach 300 and then I’ll try to get some rares I don’t own yet.
Gwendydd: Hmmm... do you have many rares? Could you tell us some? :)
Tripida: I have some, dunno if they’re that rare, but there are only a few in another servers... hammer of wrath, demonbone amulet, pharaoh sword, crystal mace, djinn blade... I don’t have TH. <laughs>
Gwendydd: I’d like to ask you an unpleasant question. Because you stay online a lot of time some days, some people say that you’re an account sharer.
Tripida: Trivial.
Gwendydd: Did you have any problem with GMs for that?
Tripida: Never.
Gwendydd: No GM has ever sprouted in front of you because of those gossips? <laughs>
Tripida: Yes, but not for sharing reasons, it was a little discussion because a respawn.
Anderslash: If you check Pskonejott, there you can find information that in 2005 you were around 23 hours online in a single day. It’s very normal everybody pointing his fingers telling that you share and such.
Tripida: Not everybody. Envious people talk bullshit. Who usually call me sharer in this server, stays online twice as me. And he is online right now! <laughs>
Anderslash: Names, names? We are curious to know who your enmities are!
Gwendydd: Gossips, gossips!
Tripida: Dunno. I won’t mention names, just read the boards and see who talks about me, and check in that online counter website who is.
Gwendydd: Do you have any "idol" in-game, Tripida?
Tripida: I used to admire Bubble. I used. Today I don’t anymore. It’s not because my lvl, dunno... Now I see that I can do everything that other people do.
Anderslash: Very cool, it’s some kind of message for our readers... "nothing is impossible".
Tripida: Sure.
Gwendydd: Talking about "message for our readers"... do you have something more to say?
Tripida: Good luck everybody, don’t think that reach lvl 200-300 is impossible. Just a few days without sleep and eat, and you can do it. <laughs>
Gwendydd: This is going to be published, huh?! Some mothers will not be very happy. <laughs>
Anderslash: Oh, before we finish. We always do a little quick-answering questions and such. We’ll say 5 random words. You tell the first thing that comes to your mind, you don’t need to answer with just one word, but tell their meaning for you. Ok?
Tripida: Ok.
Gwendydd: Yeah, anything.
Anderslash: Update?
Tripida: Nice. All new creatures etc, but is bad for hunting. To get there where they are is a big problem.
Anderslash: Gamemaster?
Tripida: I don't have any affinity with GMs. Laylee has gotten rid the banishment she has imposed that I got when I insulted her, when I got hacked. I think she's a good GM, or so they say.
Gwendydd: CipSoft.
Tripida: A corporation that makes me be online for 12 hours or more in front of a pc. <laughs>
Anderslash: Another word: RPG.
Tripida: I think it still exists in Tibia, but in my opinion 95% doesn't play for RPG.
Anderslash: The last one: Astera.
Tripida: Dunno. A very full server. But of many, it’s a good one to play.
Anderslash: So, that’s all... thank you Tripida for your precious time, nice to talk to you! (Gwen should have talk this, but she’s busy here with Rook people) <laughs>
Gwendydd: Tripida, it was very nice to chat with you, truly. I didn't expected to be... hm... 1 hour and 45 minutes here.
Anderslash: You’re a nice guy, kind and humble, besides many can imagine. Thank you very much, good luck. May you reach your goals! \o/
Tripida: As I told, if I talk with everybody just like Gwendydd, I won’t play anymore! <laughs>
Gwendydd: Take care, see you!
